KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Hudson Valley Nationwide Center for Veteran Reintegration is sponsoring a 5-day, 4-Evening time, 45-mile kayak journey down the Hudson River as a salute to the 800,000 People who served Inside the Afghanistan Wrestle.
Veterans will start their trek on Sept. 29, launching their kayaks from the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston. Their journey will finish Oct. 3 at Fort Montgomery, in Orange County. A right ceremony recognizing the kayakers Shall be held at 1 p.m. that day at Fort Montgomery.
Kevin Kearney, authorities director of the Hudson Valley Nationwide Center for Veteran Reintegration, said the current U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan has triggered submit-traumatic stress syndrome amongst many veterans — not solely of the nation’s longest war however from all eras.
